Warren Davison - Managing Director

Warren started his career as a Methods Engineer and after a series of roles took on senior leadership roles with Alcan, Capral and Boral. As part of Alcan, he led the integration of Comalco and Alcan Extrusion to form a key part of the newly created Capral Aluminium. In his time with Alcan, he was a member of the global operations audit team working on European, Japanese and North American operations to improve operating performance. He joined Boral Limited in 1995 and as Divisional Managing Director of Borals Construction Related Businesses, he was responsible for global Capital Projects, Procurement and Risk Management. He oversaw over $2.5Bn of capital projects and was involved in many feasibility studies and post-implementation reviews. During that time, he identified that success or failure in any capital or business improvement project invariably came back to the initial scoping and the problem definition. In 2018, he started Argyle Advisory, a boutique consultancy offering strategic reviews, business improvement, and M&A assessments. The logo is a chess piece with the proposition that “Making the right move is knowing all your options.” All projects generally start with a data-driven assessment of the options. In 2025, Warren was Chairman of the Australasian Aluminium Extrusion Conference, a four-year event with delegates and presenters worldwide. He was a key presenter on Manufacturing Automation and Critical Success Factors. Warren is easy to deal with, and investing in a simple conversation to explore the current situation has been very helpful. A frank and honest review can be very useful to senior executives who value an independent sounding board.
